DISCLAIMER: Do not believe anything that I say! Test everything that you read below against all verses in the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh) and the Brit Chadashah (NT). Pray for the truth and to be led by the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaChodesh)! I am not your pastor, preacher, teacher, rabbi, or anything else. I am just a guy who has an opinion.
This is going to be the most beautiful story you have ever heard. It is not mine, I am just relaying the story to you. You have access to this story, if you have a Bible. I promise, when you hear it, you will be moved.
This is the story of the Bible and what HIS entire book is about. If you disagree, that is perfectly fine. I would always say to test what I am saying. Check the disclaimer above!
I have been studying and reading the Bible, in depth, for several years now. It never ceases to amaze me at how great HE is. This story is interwoven throughout thousands of years and it all fits perfectly, once you start to test it against other Scripture and Brit Chadashah (New Testament) writings. It is the pattern and picture that I use to view everything I read and study in the Bible.
I see the Bible as a betrothal, marriage, divorce, divorce annulment, re-betrothal, and finally, a re-marriage. That may seem like a lot to sift through, but, if you read your Bible from the beginning (Genesis) and read it through to the end (Revelation), you will see this pattern emerge. The words of Yeshua start to make much more sense. His parables are now understandable. We don’t need to do linguistic gymnastics to understand what simple, unlearned people understood over 2000 years ago.
What you will start to see is this beautiful story that YHVH has put forth to us. It is an amazing story of HIS everlasting love, HIS great and tireless patience, and HIS amazing forgiveness. You will be in awe of HIM. You will be filled with this level of reverence for HIM that you have never felt before. I am not trying to hype up this article. Forget the article. This is HIS story and he gives it to us, freely. If we have a Bible, we can see for ourselves. I pray that I can do this justice.
First, we need to understand this concept of a marriage in Biblical times.
